Description

Experience the vibrant flavors of Mexico with these authentic Tacos al Pastor, featuring marinated pork, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork Shoulder
  • 12 Corn Tortillas
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Salsa (your choice)
  • 1 cup Pineapple, grilled
  • 2 tbsp Achiote Paste
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Pork: In a mixing bowl, combine the achiote paste, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Coat the pork shoulder thoroughly with the marinade.
  2. Cover the marinated pork and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least two hours, or even better, overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat. Cook the marinated pork until fully cooked, about 20-25 minutes on the grill or 45-60 minutes in the oven.
  4. Slice the Pork thinly and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  5. Warm your tortillas until pliable on the grill or in a heated pan.
  6. Assemble your tacos: place sliced pork in each tortilla, add chopped onions, cilantro, lime juice, and salsa.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Marinate the pork overnight for deeper flavor. Customize toppings as desired!
