Description

A comforting blend of spices and hearty meat, stuffed with gooey cheese, topped with marinara for a delicious family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape on a prepared baking sheet.
  4. Create a small well in the center of the meatloaf and fill it with additional mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Spread marinara sauce over the top in the final 10 minutes of baking.
  7. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Prepare the mixture a day in advance and refrigerate. For air fryer cooking, cook at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes.
