- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape on a prepared baking sheet.
- Create a small well in the center of the meatloaf and fill it with additional mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Spread marinara sauce over the top in the final 10 minutes of baking.
- Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Make-ahead tip: Prepare the mixture a day in advance and refrigerate. For air fryer cooking, cook at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes.
