Description
A hearty pulled beef sandwich slow-cooked to perfection, filled with tender beef, zesty barbecue sauce, and topped with crunch pickles, all nestled in a soft bun.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Place the 2 lbs beef chuck roast in the slow cooker, ensuring it’s positioned flat for even cooking.
- Evenly sprinkle the sliced onion and minced garlic over the beef, allowing the flavors to infuse the meat.
- Season with 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper; these spices enhance the robust flavors of the beef.
- Pour 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce over the top, generously coating the meat.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 480 minutes, letting the magic happen as it cooks slowly and gently.
- Once done, uncover and shred the beef using two forks right in the slow cooker. Mix it with the juices for added flavor.
- Serve the shredded beef on soft hamburger buns, adding optional pickles for that delightful crunch.
Notes
You can prepare the beef a day in advance; store it in the fridge overnight before serving.
