Description

Experience the perfect blend of simplicity and complexity with homemade sourdough bread that features a crispy crust and soft interior, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g Bread Flour
  • 350g Water
  • 100g Sourdough Starter
  • 10g Salt

Instructions

  1. Mix and rest the bread flour and water in a large bowl. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Incorporate the sourdough starter and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise at room temperature until doubled in size (4 to 6 hours).
  5. Shape the dough into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Cover and let it rise again for 1 to 2 hours until puffed up.
  7. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and hollow sounding.
  9. Let cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

For a more robust flavor, consider refrigerating the dough overnight. Toasting enhances its flavor, and you can successfully use an air fryer as an alternative cooking method.
