- 1 can cream of mushroom soup

- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet, set over medium heat, for about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl with rice, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, cheese, and any optional vegetables.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Uncover and return the casserole to the oven for another 10-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, prepare the casserole the night before and cover it well in the fridge. Adjust baking time if starting from cold.
