Description

A vibrant explosion of color and texture, Green Chilaquiles combine crispy tortilla chips with zesty salsa verde, creamy avocado, and crumbly queso fresco for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips
  • 4 Tomatillos, roasted
  • 2 Serrano Chiles, roasted
  • 1 Avocado, diced
  • 1 cup Queso Fresco, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salsa Verde: Roast tomatillos and serrano chiles. Blend with cilantro, lime juice, and salt until smooth.
  2. Heat the Salsa: Pour the salsa into a skillet and warm over medium heat.
  3. Toss in the Tortilla Chips: Add tortilla chips to the skillet and gently mix to coat.
  4. Assemble and Garnish: Serve topped with avocado, queso fresco, and additional garnishes as desired.

Notes

Make-ahead by preparing salsa verde in advance. For a lighter option, use an air fryer for chips.
