Description

Deliciously soft and chewy sugar cookie bars topped with creamy frosting and colorful sprinkles, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Sprinkles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and airy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Cool completely before frosting.
  9. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for frosting.
  10. Spread frosting over cooled bars and top with sprinkles.
