Description

Delicious fish tacos filled with crispy fish, fresh toppings, and zesty flavors for a vibrant meal experience.

Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi)
  • Corn tortillas
  • Green or red cabbage
  • Tomatoes
  • Lime
  • Cilantro
  • Pickled onions
  • Avocado
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the fish: Generously sprinkle the white fish fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Pan-fry the fish: Heat oil in your skillet over medium heat. Place the seasoned fish in the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. Warm the tortillas: In a separate skillet, heat corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side.
  4. Prepare the cabbage slaw: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cabbage with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Place fish in warm tortillas, top with cabbage slaw and a taco sauce made from blended tomatoes and lime juice.
  6. Customize with cilantro, pickled onions, and avocado.
  7. Serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the tacos.

Notes

For a healthier option, fry the fish in an air fryer or bake it at 400°F for about 15-20 minutes.
