Description

A cozy and comforting dish featuring savory meatballs made with a blend of ground beef and pork, combined with rice and smothered in marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef and pork, uncooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs with lightly oiled hands.
  3. Brown the meatballs in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add marinara sauce over the browned meatballs, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Serve the meatballs hot, drizzled with extra marinara sauce.

Notes

For a healthier twist, consider using an air fryer or baking them. Customize with added herbs or cheese.
