Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the dried cranberries and orange zest.
- Whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl until smooth and well blended.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and lightly knead it a few times to bring it together.
- Pat it into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges or rounds.
- Place them on the prepared baking sheet with space between them.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
