Description

Delightful Cinnamon Roll Bread Twists with a rich cinnamon filling and creamy glaze, perfect for brunch or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Heat the milk and melted butter until warm, then add to the dry mixture with the egg.
  3. Stir until fully combined to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, then let it rise covered for 1 hour.
  5. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread with softened butter, and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Cut the dough into strips, twist them together, and place on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Let them rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Mix powdered sugar with milk for the glaze and drizzle over warm twists.
