Description

A delightful fusion of spicy chorizo and tender chicken in a creamy sauce, served with your favorite pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup chorizo, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced chorizo and diced chicken; sauté for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, heavy cream, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; let simmer.
  4. Add pasta to the pot, stir well to combine.
  5. Cook according to pasta package directions, approximately 8-10 minutes until al dente.
  6. If sauce thickens too much, add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a plant-based cream. Customize with vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
