- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips and/or M&Ms
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and/or M&Ms with a rubber spatula.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden edges and soft centers appear.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute butter and cream cheese with plant-based alternatives. Dough can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
