- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Caramel sauce for glazing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease each cavity of your donut pan thoroughly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, prepare the wet mixture by whisking together the apple cider, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine both mixtures by pouring the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and folding gently with a spatula.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts rest in the pan for 5 minutes before flipping them onto a cooling rack.
- Glaze with warm caramel sauce and let it set before serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, try baking in an air fryer. These donuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
