Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a cake pan by greasing it lightly.
- Mix the batter: In a large bowl, combine the cake flour, sugar, softened butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, and salt. Use an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is smooth.
- Bake the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool down: Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Prepare the pudding: Prepare the butterscotch pudding mix according to package instructions and set aside.
- Layer the pudding: Once the cake has cooled, spread the prepared butterscotch pudding over the top of the cake.
- Add whipped topping: Spread a generous layer of whipped topping over the pudding.
- Sprinkle the crunch: Top with crushed graham crackers or toffee bits.
