Description

A delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors in tender chicken twists glazed with a tropical mango sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup mango puree
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat to prepare for cooking.
  2. Create the glaze: In a mixing bowl, combine the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and a dash of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Marinate the chicken: Coat chicken breasts with the glaze and let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Choose your cooking method: For oven-baked, place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through. For skillet-seared, add to the hot skillet and sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side.
  5. Rest the chicken before drizzling any remaining glaze over it.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead by marinating chicken overnight for maximum flavor. Substitute chicken thighs for richer taste if desired.
