A rich and creamy dip made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and a blend of cheeses, perfect for gatherings.

- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Toss in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Reduce heat to low and add softened cream cheese and sour cream, stirring until smooth.
- Fold in half of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Transfer to a baking dish or leave in the skillet, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature for easy blending. You can prepare the dip a day in advance and reheat before serving.
