Description

A rich and creamy dip made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and a blend of cheeses, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Toss in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add softened cream cheese and sour cream, stirring until smooth.
  5. Fold in half of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish or leave in the skillet, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature for easy blending. You can prepare the dip a day in advance and reheat before serving.
