- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by dissolving it in warm milk and letting it sit until frothy, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour until smooth, then gradually add the remaining flour until forming a soft dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Roll the dough into a 16×21 inch rectangle.
- Spread softened butter, strawberry jam, and chopped strawberries over the rolled dough.
- Mix cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth, then spread over the jam-covered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in the baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes until doubled.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving and drizzle with cream cheese frosting.
Notes
For the best results, allow dough to rise fully and use fresh strawberries for added flavor.
