Description

Warm, gooey rolls filled with strawberry jam and a rich cream cheese frosting, these Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls are a delightful treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by dissolving it in warm milk and letting it sit until frothy, about 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour until smooth, then gradually add the remaining flour until forming a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Roll the dough into a 16×21 inch rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter, strawberry jam, and chopped strawberries over the rolled dough.
  8. Mix cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth, then spread over the jam-covered dough.
  9. Roll the dough tightly and slice into 12 rolls.
  10. Place rolls in the baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes until doubled.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Cool slightly before serving and drizzle with cream cheese frosting.

Notes

For the best results, allow dough to rise fully and use fresh strawberries for added flavor.
