Description

A delightful and fluffy brioche loaf swirled with vibrant raspberry jam, perfect for brunch or afternoon tea.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Stir in the yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the eggs to the yeast mixture and mix until combined. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. After rising, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the raspberry jam over the surface, leaving a border.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from one long side, then twist gently to create a swirl.
  7. Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or vanilla extract. You may refrigerate the dough overnight for extra convenience.
