Description

Delightful Puff Pastry Hot Dogs that are both nostalgic and sophisticated, featuring flaky, buttery pastry wrapped around juicy hot dogs.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)
  • Ketchup and mustard (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until it measures about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into strips, each about 1-inch wide.
  4. Wrap each hot dog with a strip of puff pastry, sealing the edges carefully.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup and mustard.

Notes

Make-ahead by preparing the hot dogs in advance and refrigerating until ready to bake. For air-fryer method, set to 375°F and cook for about 10-12 minutes.
