Description

Delightful prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella bites that are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, perfect for parties or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package prosciutto
  • 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Gently open the package of prosciutto and separate the slices, laying them flat.
  3. Remove the mozzarella balls from their packaging, ensuring to drain any excess liquid. Cut larger mozzarella balls in half if desired.
  4. Place a mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap the prosciutto around the ball, ensuring it’s fully enclosed.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Stir in dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Brush or spoon the seasoned olive oil mixture over the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart for even cooking.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the prosciutto is golden and crispy.
  9. Once baked, allow to cool slightly and, if desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped basil before serving.

Notes

Wrap the mozzarella in prosciutto ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. These bites can also be made in an air fryer for a quicker method.
