Description

These delightful bites combine the sticky sweetness of brown sugar and pineapple with savory little sausages, perfect for gatherings or cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages (14 oz each) Lil’ Smokies sausages
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
  2. Place the Lil’ Smokies sausages in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the glaze over the sausages, coating each link.
  4. Fold in the pineapple chunks evenly.
  5. Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours or High for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy snacking.

Notes

Prepare the glaze a day ahead for more concentrated flavors. For an oven version, combine all ingredients in a baking dish and cover tightly with foil before baking at 350°F for about an hour.
