Description

A unique blend of flavors that combines the comfort of lasagna with the indulgence of cheeseburgers and crispy bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until deep brown. Add diced onion, sauté until soft, then stir in minced garlic. Pour in marinara and add bacon, seasoning with Italian seasoning and smoked paprika. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the Parmesan Garlic Béchamel: In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour to create a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until thick and creamy—about 5 minutes. Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder, season, and remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the Lasagna: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar in the baking dish. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  4. Bake and Rest: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling a day prior and refrigerate before baking. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
