Description

These Oreo Truffle Balls are a delightful treat made with crushed Oreos and cream cheese, covered in vibrant pink candy coating for a sweet crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies (one 14.3-ounce package)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 12 ounces pink candy melts (or white candy melts tinted with pink oil-based coloring)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening (optional)
  • Sprinkles or edible pearls (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crumbs: Place the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
  2. Mix with cream cheese: In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with the softened cream cheese using a spatula until smooth.
  3. Shape the truffles: Scoop about one tablespoon of the mixture, roll it into a ball, and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill the balls: Refrigerate for 30 minutes or freeze for 15 minutes.
  5. Melt the candy coating: Heat the pink candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth; mix in vegetable shortening if desired.
  6. Dip the truffles: Use a fork to dip each chilled truffle into the candy coating, tapping off excess before placing it back on parchment.
  7. Add decorations: Sprinkle edible pearls or festive sprinkles on top while the coating is still wet.
  8. Let set: Allow the candy coating to harden at room temperature or refrigerate for about 10–15 minutes.
  9. Serve and store: Arrange on a platter for serving and store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

You can prepare these truffles a day in advance. Store them properly to maintain freshness.
