  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
  • 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
  3. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and milk, stirring to combine.
  6. Add the pasta and Italian seasoning, ensuring it’s mostly submerged.
  7. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and let cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Once the pasta is tender, reduce heat and stir in the parmesan cheese and butter.
  9. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning as needed.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
