- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- Glow-in-the-dark frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with colorful paper liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix until incorporated.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water to achieve a thin batter.
- Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
- Prepare the glow-in-the-dark frosting and frost the cooled cupcakes.
- Display them under a blacklight to reveal the enchanting glow.
Notes
Bake the cupcakes ahead of time and store in an airtight container. Customize with chocolate chips or different flavored frostings.
