Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, oregano, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it sizzles.
- Add the chicken breasts and sear for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in lemon juice and add lemon zest, coating the chicken.
- Cover and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to meld flavors.
- Remove chicken from skillet and let it rest before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and garlic before cooking. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers during the last few minutes of cooking.
