Description

A vibrant and flavorful dish featuring tender marinated beef served over fluffy rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (such as flank or sirloin)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (jasmine or sticky rice)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and gochujang until well combined.
  2. Slice your steak thinly against the grain and place it in the bowl with the marinade. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and caramelized.
  4. Serve the steak over a mound of fluffy rice.
  5. Drizzle any leftover marinade over the steak and garnish with freshly sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Marinate the steak overnight for maximum flavor. Customize with vegetables or alternative grains if desired.
