- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings
- 2 tablespoons oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a loose ball.
- Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add oil once hot.
- Place the chicken balls onto the skillet and smash each down to about ½ inch thickness. Cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Carefully flip each burger and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. If using cheese, add a slice on top during the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the hamburger buns on another pan or in the oven.
- Assemble your burgers with your favorite toppings and serve warm.
Notes
Consider using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter option. You can also customize the spices to your taste.
