Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh lemons, juiced and zested
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 packet pectin (optional, for thicker jam)

Instructions

  1. Combine freshly juiced and zested lemons, sugar, and water in a large pot. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  3. Add pectin (if desired) and stir continuously for about 10 minutes, watching the jam thicken.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and carefully pour the jam into sterilized jars, filling them close but not to the brim.
  5. Seal the jars tightly and allow them to cool to room temperature.
  6. Store the jam in the refrigerator for short-term use or can it for long-term storage.

Notes
