Description

Delicious and nutrient-rich hash browns made from sweet potatoes, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional seasoning (garlic powder, paprika, or herbs)

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the sweet potatoes.
  2. Squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Preheat the skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  4. Sauté the onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine the grated sweet potatoes and seasonings in the skillet.
  6. Spread the potato mixture evenly across the skillet.
  7. Cook undisturbed for about 5-7 minutes until browned on the bottom.
  8. Flip the hash browns carefully and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, adjust the heat as needed and don’t skip squeezing out moisture.
