- 1 cup masa harina
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder

- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add salt, cumin, and chili powder to the beef and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine masa harina and warm water to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls and flatten them into discs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry each disc for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Fill each gordita with the seasoned beef and cheese if desired.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
