Description

A succulent and savory slow-cooked chicken dish bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by placing the breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Sauté the butter in a non-stick saucepan over medium heat with the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Season with chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve the chicken over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For best flavor, refrigerate the garlic butter mixture overnight before cooking. You can also use chicken thighs for a richer flavor.
