Description

Crispy taquitos filled with savory ground beef and melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 tsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Season with taco seasoning, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix in the shredded cheese until melted slightly.
  5. Place a few tablespoons of the beef mixture onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
  6. Arrange the taquitos on a greased baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Alternatively, fry in oil for 3-4 minutes per taquito until crispy.
  7. Serve hot with sour cream and salsa for dipping.

Notes

You can prepare the beef filling in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. For a crispy result without excess oil, try using an air fryer.
