- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Create a well in the center and add warm milk, melted butter, and warm water.
- Add the egg and mix until incorporating.
- Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, covered.
- Mix garlic, softened butter, and parsley for the filling while the dough rises.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Roll the risen dough into a rectangle, spread the garlic butter, and sprinkle cheeses.
- Roll into a log, slice it, and place each slice in the muffin tin.
- Let rise for another 20 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then serve warm.
