A delightful blend of shrimp and steak in a creamy Alfredo sauce, served over fettuccine for a satisfying comfort food experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain while reserving a cup of pasta water.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season steak pieces with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add another tablespoon of butter to the same skillet. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Stir in additional Cajun seasoning and garlic, cooking for another minute.
- Reduce heat to medium. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine with the pan juices. Gradually add Parmesan, mixing until smooth. Add reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine, seared steak, and sautéed shrimp in the Alfredo sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
